Step-by-Step Makeover: Indian Skin

Girls from India have amazing colouring. For people from this part of the world, their skin normally has a yellow-orange tone. If your skin is darker, then there's slightly more orange tones; lighter and you have more yellow tones.
There is no one magic formula so it's important to try out a variety of products. Experiment with your products until you get the results you want.

1) Apply peach corrector under the eyes. Start where you need it the most which is where the skin is the darkest (usually that's the inner corner of the eyes). Blend the product under the eye completely with a brush or your finger, being sure to blend thoroughly to avoid creasing.

2) Set the corrector with yellow powder, which should be applied all over the lids to act as an eye base.

3) To get a foundation that's right for all the colours in your face, start with a foundation that works on your cheeks, but make sure it also works on your forehead. Using a sponge, I applied a golden foundation onto my model's face that disappeared into her skin and evened out the different pigments.

4) Sweep bronzer lightly on the neck to even out the skin tone. If you have oily skin, you can brush powder over your foundation to avoid too much shine.

5) Choose a warm base shadow to blend into the skin tone. Layer shadows such as toast and cocoa colours to create definition.

6) Apply two or three coats of mascara.

All done!
