Step-by-Step Makeover: Asian Skin

Asian women have some of the most beautiful skin in the world, so never try to change the colour. Asian women don't have a lot of darkness under their eyes, but concealer can still make a big difference and help to brighten the whole face. Spot any dark areas, even out your skin tone, and appreciate it!

Apply concealer under the eyes.

Set the concealer with pale yellow powder and also apply on the eyelid.

Even out the skin tone with a foundation in a colour that matches the skin. A lot of Asian girls are concerned that using foundation with yellow tones will make their skin look too yellow. Not too worry - yellow based foundation is the most natural looking, because it's the natural tone of the skin, not only for Asian skin but for everyone. It will match and enhance your complexion perfectly.

Any stubborn spots can be erased with the touch-up stick.

Dust bronzer all over the face and neck and fill in the brows using a powder shadow with an eyebrow brush.

When filling in your brows you also have to be conscious of the colour of the hair on your head – not just the colour of your brows – to get the most natural look.

Apply espresso gel liner right along the lash line with an ultrafine eyeliner brush. Make sure the line is thick enough to be visible when the eyes are open

Apply two or three coats of black mascara.

Add a pop of pinkish-rose blush on the cheeks with a fluffy round blush brush.

Press on a bit of natural colour lipstick to enhance the natural colour of the lips and you’re good to go!

Step-by-Step Makeover: Indian Skin

Girls from India have amazing colouring. For people from this part of the world, their skin normally has a yellow-orange tone. If your skin is darker, then there's slightly more orange tones; lighter and you have more yellow tones.
There is no one magic formula so it's important to try out a variety of products. Experiment with your products until you get the results you want.

1) Apply peach corrector under the eyes. Start where you need it the most which is where the skin is the darkest (usually that's the inner corner of the eyes). Blend the product under the eye completely with a brush or your finger, being sure to blend thoroughly to avoid creasing.

2) Set the corrector with yellow powder, which should be applied all over the lids to act as an eye base.

3) To get a foundation that's right for all the colours in your face, start with a foundation that works on your cheeks, but make sure it also works on your forehead. Using a sponge, I applied a golden foundation onto my model's face that disappeared into her skin and evened out the different pigments.

4) Sweep bronzer lightly on the neck to even out the skin tone. If you have oily skin, you can brush powder over your foundation to avoid too much shine.

5) Choose a warm base shadow to blend into the skin tone. Layer shadows such as toast and cocoa colours to create definition.

6) Apply two or three coats of mascara.

All done!

Novalash: an innovation in eyelash extensions

As a make up artist, I am dedicated to making people feel more beautiful and comfortable in their skin.

And what better way to feel fabulous than having a gorgeous array of thick, glossy lashes to flutter your way through the day?

The award winning Novalash Eyelash Extensions offer exactly that, and my training means I am a fully certified and qualified Novalash technician, able to take your eyes from 'bare' to 'beautiful' in no time at all.

Check out the complete breakdown of Novalash below.

So here's a break down of exactly what they do...

What are NovaLash Eyelash Extensions ?
Novalash Eyelash Extensions are a glamorous new way to extend the length and thickness of natural eyelashes , and are a practical , convenient and beautiful alternative to the daily use of mascara. Because each tapered , synthetic lash is bonded to a single natural lash , the finaly result is of effortless glamour and difficult to detect even close up.

How long do they really last ?
When properly applied , using Platinum Bond Adhesive , Novalash Lash extensions can last up to 8-10 weeks . Touch - ups are recommended after the initial full set application to refill any lashes that have cycled out . To mantain the full , thick appearance of a new set of lashes a visit is recommended every 4 weeks based on your own natural lash growth cycle .

Can lash extensions harm natural lashes ?
When applied properly , lash extensions will not harm natural lashes . The Novalash application technique allows natural lashes to grow and thrive with extensions .

Can mascara be used with lash extensions ?
Mascara is typically not needed with lash extensions . Mascara should only be used when a touch-up is drawing near . Waterproof mascara is not recommended for use , as it will dissolve the bond with the lashes .

Loss of lashes ?
Woman lose hair from the head working down the body . The hair follicle becomes weaker , the eyelashes become brittle and break . Generally loss of eyelashes is caused by ageing and the main reasons are due to hormonal changes occurring during and after menopause or diet and stress .
